New Music: Yure Romão & Robby Marshall EP out now!

Announcing the first EP by Yure Romão & Robby Marshall.

It's a 5-song mystical Brazilian fantasy and it's available everywhere.

We wrote, recorded and produced it from the ground up, and owe so much to the amazing people that lent us their time and energy to finish: notably guest musicians Rafael Barata, James Müller, sound advice (both kinds) from Shay Monté at Od MusicLab, artwork from Lucas Skornicki, and guidance from the awesome Parisian institutions Créart'up & La Maison des Ensembles.

On a personal note, it was a whole new journey to arrange and self-record a woodwind ensemble. Very challenging and rewarding - something that calls for further development.

Thanks for the support and happy listening. Downloads via Bandcamp are a great way to support if you feel it ⬇︎

RMQ goes to Czech Republic!

A new adventure is on the horizon.  Next week I'll be embarking on a 2 week tour of the Czech Republic, playing 12 shows in 12 days!  I'll be joined by local musicians - the Petr Benes trio - and we're playing festivals, theatres, jazz clubs, and breweries all over the country.

If you're in the Czech Republic, I hope you will come out to the shows and help spread the word.  See you there!

The full tour schedule is on my shows page.

Yure Romão & Robby Marshall in the studio

If you haven't yet been introduced to the new duo I've started with Brazilian songwriter, Yure Romao, it's the perfect time to get on board.  We've just been selected as laureats for the program CREART'UP, funded by the city of Paris to help develop young artists.

In the coming months we'll be releasing a 5 song EP, which we've been working hard on for the past 6 months.  It has poetic Portuguese lyrics, lush wind orchestrations, and all the flavors you would hope to hear from a Brazilian and American meeting in Paris.

We have a Facebook Page, which we update diligently. GIVE US A LIKE!

And the EP will be released sometime in March, along with a big show in Paris at the CREART'UP Festival.
